Badminton Champions League Overview

Location: Shuttlepro Badminton, 500 Jamieson pkwy #4, Cambridge, ON

Sessions: Mondays , 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Teams per Season: 12 teams, 11 Guaranteed games, 2 games per day.

 League Tiers:

  Tier 3: All teams start in Tier 3. The top-performing teams from Tier 3 at the end of each season advance to Tier 2 for the next season.

  Tier 2: Competitive teams play at this level. Top 4 teams move up to Tier 1.

  Tier 1: The highest competition level, with the top teams vying for championship placements.

Season Structure

   Season Length: 8 - 10 weeks per season

   Games: 11 - 15 guaranteed matches per team

   Game Format: Doubles matches (two players per side)

   Skill Level: Intermediate to Competitive

   Pricing: Early bird pricing - $200 team or $110 per individual (ends on 20th December 2024); Regular pricing - $225 per team   

   Early Bird Perks: Discounted registration fee, AREA Games Jersey and Additional games.

   Grand Finale: Tier 1 teams from our multi city league will participate in the year-end tournament, with free registration and a grand prize for the winners.

Rules and Regulations

   Team Composition: Each team must play with the same players throughout the competition and either gender are allowed.

   Scoring: Matches will be played in a best-of-three format, following standard scoring.

   Advancement and Relegation: Teams advancing to higher tiers must maintain performance; teams dropping out of a season will return to Tier 3.

   Fair Play: Players must adhere to the league’s code of conduct, ensuring respect and sportsmanship.
